GIIYAT: The Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) has started a major clean-up drive across the scenic Galiyat region for Eid-ul-Adha.
Acting on orders from GDA Director General Shahrukh Ali, sanitation workers are handing out special biodegradable bags to locals and tourists. The goal is to stop people from throwing leftover parts from sacrificial animals into open areas.
Dumping this waste causes bad smells and serious health problems, especially in a sensitive place like Galiyat.
GDA teams are now actively picking up the animal remains to dispose of them safely. After collection, they are thoroughly washing and cleaning the spots where waste was dumped.
This effort is part of the GDA’s plan to keep Galiyat clean, safe, and pleasant for everyone during the Eid holidays. The GDA is asking the public to help by using the bags and keeping the area clean, protecting its natural beauty.
