PSL X: Karachi Kings beat Peshawar Zalmi by 23 runs

RAWALPINDI: In the 27th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Karachi Kings beat Peshawar Zalmi by 23 runs, securing a crucial victory with a dominant all-round performance.

Earlier, Karachi Kings had set a massive 238-run target for Zalmi on Saturday, after a power-packed batting display.

Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and chose to bowl first, but the decision backfired as Karachi’s top order launched a fierce onslaught.

David Warner led the charge with a spectacular 86-run knock, while James Vince added an aggressive 72, laying the foundation for one of the tournament’s highest team totals so far. Khushdil Shah added a quickfire 43, and Mohammad Nabi remained unbeaten on 26. Irfan Khan scored 2 runs before the innings wrapped up at the close of 20 overs.

Zalmi’s bowling attack struggled to contain the explosive batting display. Luke Wood was the standout performer with two wickets, while Ali Za and Arif Yaqoob picked up one wicket each.

The high-scoring innings promised a gripping second half, but Karachi’s bowling unit held firm to seal the win.
