PSL X: Lahore Qalandars clinch victory against Quetta Gladiators

In the fourth match of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL X), Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by 79 runs. Lahore Qalandars set a challenging target of 220 runs for Quetta Gladiators. In their attempt to chase the target, the entire Quetta Gladiators team was bowled out for 140 runs in just 16.2 overs, with Riley Rossouw being the top scorer at 44 runs.

Lahore Qalandars scored 219 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Muhammad Naeem managed only 10 runs, but Abdullah Shafiq provided a solid start with an aggressive innings of 37 runs. Fakhar Zaman played exceptionally well, scoring 67 runs off 39 balls, which included 3 sixes and 7 fours.

In the middle order, Daryl Mitchell contributed 37 runs, while Sikandar Raza scored 6 runs. Captain Shaheen Afridi was dismissed for just 3 runs. Wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings finished the innings strongly, remaining unbeaten with 50 runs off 19 balls, bringing the team’s total to 219.

For Quetta Gladiators, Aqeel Hussain and Abrar Ahmed each took 2 wickets, while Faheem Ashraf and Usman Tariq claimed 1 wicket apiece. In their previous match, Quetta Gladiators had won against Peshawar Zalmi by 80 runs, while Lahore Qalandars had suffered defeat against Islamabad United.
