Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has announced that he will not invite people to Islamabad for protests at this time, but instead will launch a movement across Pakistan.
PTI founder Aleema Khan, the sister of the former prime minister, spoke to the media outside Adiala Jail after visiting him on Monday, accompanied by her two sisters. She stated that the party plans to initiate a protest movement nationwide. Imran Khan conveyed a clear message indicating that he will not gather people in Islamabad due to concerns about snipers being present.
Imran Khan expressed concerns that even basic rights for ordinary prisoners are being denied. He mentioned that his children have only been able to communicate with him once in the past eight months and that he has not been allowed to meet with his sisters.
Aleema Khan reported that the sisters have been trying to deliver books to their brother, but the prison administration has prevented this. She also pointed out that his doctors have not been allowed to check on him, and judges’ orders regarding contempt of court petitions have not been implemented. Imran Khan has warned that regardless of the oppressive system in place, he will not accept slavery.
Aleema Khan shared that Imran Khan believes Bushra Bibi, his wife, has been imprisoned to exert pressure on him. He reiterated that he will not submit, even if he faces a lifetime in jail.
She criticised certain YouTubers who claim that Imran Khan will soon be released or that a deal is about to be made, suggesting that such content is intended to pacify the public.
According to Aleema Khan, Imran Khan has communicated to the party that it is grounded in ideology. She emphasised that many young members are currently serving jail sentences and that the party does not rely on electable figures but on ideological support. She is closely monitoring party members, asserting that those who do not align with the party’s ideology have no place within it, including those who are indecisive.

Imran Khan, expressing frustration, noted that the judicial landscape has shifted dramatically, highlighting that the Al-Qadir case has not been addressed for three months, along with delays in other cases, including those from May 9. He has made it clear that the party should prepare for a significant movement across the country, without calling for people to gather in Islamabad.
Aleema Khan added that the family will go to the High Court tomorrow to express their support for the judges. She announced that all MNAs and members of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies would also attend the Islamabad High Court to show their backing for the judiciary.
