PTI founder did not authorise any deal, says Barrister Gohar

ECP can’t declare members honest or trustworthy, says Barrister Gohar

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has stated that the party founder made it clear that he did not give anyone the authority to make a deal.

However, he emphasised that negotiations are essential to resolving political issues.

Speaking to a private news channel, Gohar said, “We want a political solution to political problems. Negotiations are crucial, and by sitting at the table, many issues can be resolved.”

Gohar clarified that PTI currently has no backdoor or frontdoor contacts with anyone. “If any contact is made, it cannot be called dialogue,” he said.

He recalled that the party had a positive contact before November 26, facilitated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, whom the PTI founder trusts.

“We thought if contact was restored, dialogue could begin at some level,” Gohar said, adding that whenever there is any communication, he and Gandapur work together.
