PTI leader Hammad Azhar decides to approach the court against possible arrest

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Hammad Azhar has decided to approach the court to avoid possible arrest in the wake of his father’s death.

According to media reports, he took this decision after consulting close friends, and now his legal team is busy preparing a bail application. Hammad Azhar is eager to spend time with his mother these days after the death of his father, Mian Azhar; however, because of possible legal risks, he has decided to take precautionary measures.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan visited Hammad Azhar’s residence and met him and expressed his condolences on the death of his father. During the meeting, Hammad Azhar’s decision to approach the court was discussed in detail.

According to sources, Barrister Gohar welcomed the decision and said, “There is no option left except to fight in the legal arena. Facing the courts is the only way that can provide constitutional protection.”

According to sources, the option of approaching the Peshawar High Court for Hammad Azhar’s security bail is also under consideration, and in this regard, the team of lawyers has been finalised, which will soon approach the court.

On the other hand, various political figures visited Hammad Azhar’s residence and condoled the death of Mian Azhar, including Federal Minister Ali Pervez Malik, Member of National Assembly Shaista Pervez Malik and senior PML-N leader Khawaja Ahmed Hassan.
