PTI MNA opposes party decision to attend National Security Council Meeting

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Shandana Gulzar has said that no decision would be acceptable in the absence of the party chairman “Imran Khan”.

She made it clear that even if the entire party decided not to get permission from Imran Khan, she would not go along with this decision.

She further said that PTI would not be a part of any meeting without Imran Khan’s permission and an attempt would be made to consult Imran Khan in this regard by going to jail.

Reacting to the decision to attend the National Security Council meeting, she added that she does not accept any such decision that is taken without consulting Imran Khan.

Replying to a question, “Barrister Gohar is respectable but he is not the party chairman for me,”.

Speaking exclusively to Pakhtoon Digital, Shandana Gulzar said that a meeting regarding national security was being held, but the security situation in Pakistan getting worse with each passing day.

She said that the party leadership had decided that it would not be a part of any meeting without Imran Khan’s permission. “If our concerns are not heard and accepted, we will not attend the meeting,” She emphasised.

Responding to a question regarding controversial statements against Pashtuns on PTV, Shandana Gulzar strongly reacted and said that those who were making such propaganda should be ashamed.

She said that Pashtuns were not anyone’s facilitators but loyal citizens of their motherland Pakistan and conspiracies were being hatched to defame them through such false allegations.

Talking about the internal differences in the party and the possibility of leaders being expelled, Shandana Gulzar asserted that those who had voted against Imran Khan’s decision would soon be expelled from the party.

She added that some people had succeeded in getting ministries, but their future was not secure in PTI.

On the efforts to minus Imran Khan from politics, she said that the aim was to push PTI towards the Muslim League (N) and the PPP.

She said that this conspiracy would not succeed for long, because Imran Khan lived in the hearts of the people and it was not possible to expel him from politics.
