PESHAWAR:The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced it will not hold protests in Islamabad but instead disrupt federal resources, including electricity and water supplies, to pressure the government.
Shafqat Ayaz, KP’s Special Adviser on Information and Technology, told Pakhtun Digital that PTI would use provincial control over key infrastructure—such as oil, gas, and mineral mines in southern KP and Waziristan—to force negotiations.
“We don’t need to block Islamabad. Our provinces have strategic points to disrupt federal operations,” Ayaz said.
He criticized institutions, including the Supreme Court, for failing to engage with PTI founder Imran Khan in jail.
