PTI’s accountability committee to decide Jhagra’s fate

Jhagra answers PTI probe panel on corruption allegations

PESHAWAR: The accountability committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has convened a crucial meeting on Monday under the chairmanship of prominent lawyer Qazi Anwar Advocate.

According to insider sources, former provincial minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra is expected to face scrutiny during the session. The committee members have reportedly expressed dissatisfaction over Jhagra’s alleged defamation of the accountability body.

Qazi Anwar Advocate confirmed that a decision regarding Jhagra’s conduct would be finalized in the upcoming meeting. The former minister had previously shared the committee’s questions and his responses with the media, a move that has drawn criticism. However, the committee head clarified that the issue involving Provincial Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati was not deemed serious.
