PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tahreek Insaf PTI member of provinical assembly MPA Fazal Elahi has condemned the ongoing illegal power outages in Peshawar, stating that despite Khyber Pakhtunkhwa producing electricity and gas, the province is being denied its fair share. He urged both opposition and government members to pressure the federal government to resolve the issue.
Elahi criticized the central government for providing only 550 million rupees while claiming he alone had invested 500 million in Hazar Khawani Bagh. He also mentioned that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has approved a 50-50 bed allocation plan in major hospitals, including Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), and Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH), to address bed shortages.
On political matters, Elahi declared that the key to PTI founder Imran Khan’s release lies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He warned that after the budget, the province would not wait any longer and would launch a protest movement, including blocking the Tarbela Dam and halting mineral exports from Waziristan, to demand Khan’s freedom.
