PTI’s Omar Ayub warns Adiala Jail Superintendent on alleged mistreatment of Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub has warned the superintendent of Adiala Jail, saying that the founder of the PTI is being tortured in prison, and this act is unacceptable.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Omar Ayub said, “Superintendent Adiala Jail should remember that he is a government employee, I have seen big officers crying and later holding his feet.”

He alleged that the prison authorities are treating the founder of PTI inhumanely, which is a clear violation of the law and human rights. Omar Ayub further said that Imran Khan’s sons are campaigning in Washington, DC in support of their father, and they can come to Pakistan whenever they want. “The arrival of his sons is of their own free will, and no one could stop them.”

The opposition leader said that the strategy made regarding the Senate elections was correct and effective, and no one was given an additional seat. “Ali Amin Gandapur perfectly completed the election process,” he said,

Criticising Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, saying, “First show that you have won a seat, then talk about no-confidence, the PPP has received seats here as a gift, they have no status in the province.”

Umar Ayub revealed that teams have been mobilised for the protest movement in Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “An important meeting of the Grand Alliance under the leadership of Mahmood Achakzai is expected soon, in which the final plan of action will be decided.
