PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has prepared an alternative strategy for holding a protest in each constituency in case permission is not granted by the government for the expected protest on August 05.
According to news reports, if PTI does not get permission for a large protest or rally, the party has planned a protest in each constituency. According to sources, PTI will protest in all provincial and national constituencies of Punjab, and the footage of the protest activity of each constituency will be sent to the party leadership.
Sources say that after August 5th, PTI will give a call for protests in major cities of the country, for which preparations have been intensified. Formal instructions have been issued to organisations and ticket holders at the divisional level to make the protest movement effective.
According to party sources, instructions have also been issued to complete the party organisation at the union council level, and they would submit their report to the leadership before August 5. In addition, disciplinary action has also been indicated against officials who do not participate in the protest.
On the other hand, the possibility of the Punjab government granting permission for the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan is extremely low, so the PTI has changed its protest strategy. It should be noted that the protest expected by the PTI on August 5 is being seen as an important political development, for which the party is seen mobilizing at various levels.
