PESHAWAR: Central Secretary Information Sheikh Waqas Akram said that the lives of the People have been badly affected due to the flood situation in Punjab, and more than half of Punjab is underwater, while the PML-N representatives are busy in photo shoots instead of public services.
Talking to media persons, Sheikh Waqas said that due to the government ban, no one could protest against government policies. He said that this is not the first time that floods have occurred in Punjab. India releases water every two years, but previously, security arrangements were made for this flood, while despite the disaster, Maryam Nawaz left the people and visited Japan. More than 450 people died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab learned from us the relief packages that the PTI gave to the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He added that terrorism cases were filed against six of our servants outside Adiala Jail while they are still in prison, and this is the first time in the country that public representatives have been disqualified together. The representatives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have received relief from here. “We have been given 10 years’ imprisonment for standing with a person which talk about the rule of law,” he remarked.
He mentioned that stopping wheat supply to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a major crime, and the day is not far when the Punjab government will be made accountable.
He said that PTI’s 750 activist names were put on the ECL, and the number has now reached 1,000 people. He has not appeared in court against ECL as he does not want to go out of the country.
To a question on the Chief Minister’s Passport ban, he said that the Chief Minister will soon appear in court against the passport ban. So many FIRs have been filed against our Chief Minister that it is difficult to count them. “What message are you giving to foreign countries by behaving like this with the Chief Minister?” he questioned.
