Quetta Gladiators defeat Islamabad United to reach PSL 2025 final

 

 

Quetta Gladiators have secured their place in the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 by defeating Islamabad United by 30 runs in the first qualifier.

Batting first after winning the toss, Quetta Gladiators posted a competitive total of 209 runs for 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Key contributions came from Dinesh Chandimal (48), Finn Allen (41), Avishka Fernando (32), and Faheem Ashraf (45).

In response, Islamabad United fell short, managing 179 runs in their 20 overs. The chase began with Sahibzada Farhan and Alex Hales, but Hales was dismissed for a duck. Farhan led the charge with a brilliant 52-run knock, supported by Salman Agha (44) and Rassie van der Dussen (35). Captain Shadab Khan could only contribute 16 runs before being dismissed.
