BUNER: Heavy rain and thunderstorm lashes flood affected areas in Pirbaba, Beshoni and Gookand area, disrupting the ongoing relief activities in Buner.
The rain followed with thundersstorm caused fear and panic among the already affected people as people are deeply concern over the already affected infrastructure. The affected people of Beshoni are living in makeshift tents and some of them have been accommodated with relatives while some people are living in rented house.
Talking to Pakhtun Digital Haseeb Khan resident of Buner told this scribe that whenever there is rain people fears that it will cause cloud burst and even people living at altitude are also worried about flood as some time cloud burst hit green landscape at Hight as it happens in Beshoni, Gookand and Chagarzo area.
It is raining with interval however the water level in near by rivers flow normal as usual. Most of the affected families appealed the public not to distribute Rashan and instead of this they should distribute in cash which could reach the deserving families.
There are also complains that some officer bearers of PTI have also taken Rashion of the affected families. Most of the aid received to the affected people came from the welfare organization. The prominent among those is Al-Khidmat, Fix it and Bacha Khan trust.
The flood affected families have demanded of the government to take urgent steps for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of their house. The people want one room shelter to protect their families and they said that shelter needed to protect them from heart and rain.
