Rain-related incidents claimes lives of three persons and injured nine others in KP

PESHAWAR: The windstorm and rain-related incident claimed the lives of three persons and injured nine others while 16 houses were partially damaged across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, sources from PDMA said.

The dead include a man and two women, while the nine injured include four men, two women and three children. Besides this, a total of 16 houses were partially damaged due to rain and storms. The accidents occurred in different districts of the province, including Sawabi, Peshawar, Shangla, Swat, Mansehra and Haripur.

 

PDMA has directed the concerned district administration to provide immediate assistance to the affected families and ensure the provision of the best medical facilities to the injured. The rain is likely to continue till May 31.

The authorities of PDMA are in constant touch with all district administrations, related and relief agencies. PDMA’s Emergency Operation Centre is fully active, and the public can report any untoward incident on the help line 1700.
