Rain turns weather in Islamabad pleasant

A sigh of relief: PDMA predicts rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Various parts of the country, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, experienced rain, hailstorms, and gusty winds on Wednesday, resulting in a noticeable drop in temperature and a welcome shift in weather conditions.

In the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, strong winds accompanied by rain and hail provided relief from the recent spell of heat. In Lahore, heavy rain and hail were reported in areas such as Ferozepur Road, Gulberg, and Muslim Town, further enhancing the pleasant atmosphere.

In southern Sindh, light showers were recorded in several areas of Hyderabad, which also contributed to a decrease in temperature and humidity.

Weather shifts were also observed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Malakand, heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds swept across the district. Rainfall was also reported in Mansehra and surrounding areas, while in Battagram, heavy rain caused flooding in streams and nullahs.

According to the Meteorological Department, more rainfall is expected in the coming days, which may result in a further dip in temperatures across the region.
