ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah warned the PTI on Thursday that the government will take “strict action” against any protests that cause unrest. Speaking after meeting JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Sanaullah accused PTI of having “always protested violently,” claiming they lack understanding of peaceful demonstrations.
He stated Pakistan is on a development path and won’t tolerate instability. “Those who protest will be arrested,” he declared, adding that while PTI might gather supporters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it won’t gain public backing elsewhere.
Sanaullah confirmed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had offered talks to PTI leadership—even proposing the Speaker visit Imran Khan—but no progress occurred. He dismissed protest prospects led by “a person in prison,” warning associates would face legal risks.
Earlier, the PML-N delegation discussed Senate elections and political strategy with JUI-F leaders.
