KARACHI: In a joint venture, Rangers and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), arrested Zubair Ahmad known as Zabiu in an intelligence-based operation in the Karachi’s Malir area on Sunday.
According to the statement, the most wanted suspect Zubair Ahmed alias Zabiu belonging to the Baloch Republican Army (BRA) was arrested during the operation, while arms and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the suspect,
The suspect Zubair Ahmed alias Zabiu is a resident of Tamp Balochistan,
The suspect joined the group of BRA commander Zarin alias Current in 2016,
The suspect received 6 months of military training from Camp Ghazni Makran in 2016,
The suspect, along with his associates, carried out several operations against the security forces,
Attacked the Rodban FC check post with rocket launchers and heavy weapons,
During the operations, the security forces suffered heavy casualties and financial losses, the suspect’s statement
The suspect was very active in Balochistan from 2016 to 2019,
To avoid arrest, the suspect had fled abroad in 2020 for the purpose,
The accused continued to run his network from abroad, according to the Rangers spokesperson
