ISLAMABAD: The spillways of Rawal Dam were opened at 12:00 pm today after the water level reached 1,751.20 feet.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) had issued an advance alert to all relevant departments regarding the development. Authorities cautioned that the release of water could increase flow in the Korang Nullah.
The public was advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
