Rawalpindi police have arrested seven leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), including the opposition leader, Omar Ayub Khan, from outside the Adiala prison in Rawalpindi.
According to Media reports, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leaders, including its founder, Imran Khan, ’s sisters, the Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub Khan, Sahib Zada Hamid Raza, and Zartaj Gul, have been taken into custody from a building near the Adiala Jail.
The PTI leadership has been demanding a meeting with the incarcerated PTI founder, Imran Khan, who has been jailed for the last over two years, facing different criminal and civil cases.
As Pakistani media reported, the Imran Khan sisters, Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi among the detainees.
The Rawalpindi police had shown arrest warrants to the PTI leaders before taking them into custody.
