DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Hundreds of residents of DI Khan took the streets and severely criticised the performance of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Kareem Kundi for not resolving the issue of Load shedding in his home town area and warned to encircle his house if their demands were not accepted.
Holding banners and placards, the protesters chanted full-throated slogans against WAPDA and the federal government. They also strongly condemned the performance of Governor Ahmad Kareem Kundi, who did not even raise this issue with the Prime Minister.
They said that the Dera Ismail Khan Munizabad area is facing the worst power outage in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and there is no one to ask about this issue. They said that Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should discuss their problem with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, as the people in the area are badly suffering from hours-long power outages.
They said that Faisal Kareem should demonstrate courage to resolve the issues in his hometown instead of issuing political statements. They said they are fed up with load shedding for 20 to 22 hours on a daily basis. They said that children, the elderly and women are going through severe suffering due to load shedding.
It is pertinent to mention that both the Chief Minister and the Governor belong to Dera Ismail Khan, but the people of the area are frequently protesting against their elected representative for not focusing on their public issues.
