Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has placed all the districts administrations on high alert amid rising level of water flow in the rivers and human losses in the Swat district on Friday.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued a directives placing all the districts administrations on high alert as rain triggered flash floods in the rivers and caused human losses.
GDA on High Alert as Roads Cleared Following Landslides and Heavy Rain in Galiyat
Abbottabad — Director General Galiyat Development Authority (GDA), Mr. Shahrukh Ali, has placed all field staff on high alert following heavy rainfall and landslides across the Galiyat region.
According to GDA officials, the road blockage at the popular tourist spot Kundla has been successfully cleared. GDA teams were promptly deployed at the site, removing the debris and ensuring the resumption of normal traffic flow.
DG Shahrukh Ali stated that landslides at various locations across Galiyat are also being actively cleared. “Our field teams are fully mobilized and utilizing all available resources to maintain road accessibility and ensure tourist safety,” he added.
He further advised tourists to avoid unnecessary travel during rain and to refrain from parking vehicles along the roadside, in order to prevent any potential accidents.
Galiyat development authority GDA has completed all necessary emergency preparedness measures, and its teams remain vigilant and ready to respond to any developing situation in the region.
