PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has taken strict action following an alleged Rs 1.4 billion drug scam in the province. He has dismissed several officers from the Health Department connected to the case.
A spokesperson from the Chief Minister’s House stated that the irregularities occurred during the tenure of the caretaker government and were uncovered in an initial investigation.
CM Gandapur has ordered that all money lost in the scam be recovered from those involved. He also directed authorities to pursue legal action against them.
The Chief Minister emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, vowing to bring corrupt individuals to justice “at all costs.” He stated public money is not personal property, and transparency and accountability are his government’s top priorities. The spokesperson warned corrupt elements to “correct their course,” confirming the anti-corruption campaign will continue.
Gandapur stressed that strict decisions are necessary to maintain public trust, and no illegal actions will be tolerated.
