PESHAWAR: Laik Khan, a government member in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP Assembly, has made explosive allegations of Rs 32 billion corruption during the previous caretaker government’s tenure.
Speaking during an assembly session, Khan claimed that while no major corruption is occurring under the current government, massive financial irregularities took place under the caretaker setup. He pointed out that even opposition members have talked about Rs 200 billion corruption, vowing to recover all embezzled funds.
The lawmaker demanded Assembly Speaker issue orders for a NAB investigation to expose those responsible. He also paid tribute to 27 martyred political workers, promising their sacrifices wouldn’t be in vain.
