Rs10 million grant approved in honour of Shaheed Maulana Khanzeb

The Bajaur district administration has approved a special grant of Rs 1 crore to Awami National Party (ANP) leader and peace-loving religious scholar Shaheed Maulana Khanzeb in recognition of his prominent role in public services, promotion of peace and security and raising social awareness.
The letter written by the Deputy Commissioner of Bajaur to the PDMA states that Shaheed Maulana Khanzeb was a well-known personality of the area and a strong voice for peace in Bajaur. He was targeted by extremists when he was campaigning for the July 13 peace march.
The letter further states that Maulana Khanzeb was an active social worker and worked for social awareness and awareness of the youth of Bajaur.
It should be noted that Maulana Khanzeb was martyred on July 10 by unidentified armed men during preparations for a peace march in Bajaur district. A policeman has also lost his life in this incident.
His funeral prayers were held in his native Naogai, which was attended by thousands of people.
