Rubio: U.S. not involved in Israel’s unilateral attack on Iran

The United States has distanced itself from Israel’s overnight military strikes against Iran. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that while Israel took “unilateral action,” America was not involved in the attacks.

“We are not involved in strikes against Iran,” Rubio said, adding that protecting U.S. forces in the region remains the top priority. He warned Iran against targeting American interests or personnel.

The strikes, conducted early Friday morning, involved dozens of Israeli aircraft hitting multiple Iranian military targets and nuclear sites. The U.S. administration emphasized it has taken steps to safeguard American troops and maintains communication with regional allies.
