Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) has donated blood as part of a nationwide voluntary donation campaign he initiated. The effort aims to promote a culture of voluntary giving and strengthen community involvement in humanitarian causes.
The campaign supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goal of building a healthy society by working toward a future where all blood donations are voluntary. This forms part of broader national initiatives to enhance public health engagement.
Health officials emphasize that voluntary donations are essential to maintaining a safe and sustainable blood supply. A single donation can be separated into blood, plasma, or platelets—each capable of saving lives. In 2024, more than 800,000 people in Saudi Arabia donated blood.
By taking part personally, the Crown Prince leads by example, encouraging both citizens and residents to contribute to this vital effort and reinforcing values of compassion and social responsibility.
