SBP announces three-day closure for Eid-ul-Fitr

SBP announces nationwide bank Ccosures on March 3 for Zakat deduction day

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has declared Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for the banking and financial sectors from March 31 to April 2, 2025.

According to a circular issued by the Banking Policy and Regulations Department, the SBP will remain closed from Monday, March 31, to Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in observance of public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr.

As a result, all banks, Microfinance Banks (MFBs), Digital Banks (DBs), and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) will also remain closed during these dates.

In a separate notification, the central bank announced that it will remain closed on March 23, 2025 (Sunday), as a public holiday for Pakistan Day, as per the Government of Pakistan’s declaration.
