ABBOTTABAD: Two people have died, including a child, when a school van fell into a ditch near Nawan Shahr in Abbottabad, according to sources.
A tragic accident occurred when the brakes of a coaster carrying students and teachers from Haripur’s Rehana Umar Islamic Public School failed at Batangi Mor, Bagnotar.
According to rescue sources, the vehicle, carrying 42 students and 8 teachers, crashed, leaving 11 people injured.
Rescue 1122 teams swiftly transported the wounded to Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH), Abbottabad. Unfortunately, one student succumbed to their injuries, while four others remain in critical condition. The rest are reported to be stable.
