Schools in Punjab observing day of gratitude, pays homage to Pak Army

ISLAMABAD: On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a day of gratitude was observed in educational institutions across the province aimed to pay homage to the Pakistan Army for the successful completion of the recent Operation Bunyan Marsus.

 

In this regard, special ceremonies, rallies, presentation of national songs and symbolic war exercises were organized in various schools. The students carried pictures of the Pakistan Army Chief and other soldiers of the Pakistan Army, while the young children marched wearing military uniforms. The students saluted the courage, sacrifice and bravery of the Pakistan Army by hoisting the national flag and raising banners. The student rally in Kasur was led by Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat. On this occasion, slogans of Pakistan Zindabad and Pak Army Zindabad were raised. Artificial borders, fictitious enemies and models of war scenes were prepared in the schools, where the students demonstrated defeating the enemy through mock firing and parades. Students marched in Patuki Girls School and raised slogans in favour of the Pakistan Army, while drawing, painting and poster competitions were also held in various schools. The students expressed their love for the homeland and devotion to the defenders through models, posters and letters made by their own hands.

 

The young students offered special prayers for peace, security of the homeland and the Pakistani army, while national songs were presented during the assembly and the atmosphere resonated with patriotism. The Punjab government says that the aim of such activities is to instil love for the homeland, the spirit of defending the homeland and building a strong bond with the Pakistani army in the new generation.
