BANNU: Keeping in view the fragile security situation in Bannu, security forces have launched a search operation in Huved area, while curfew is still imposed in the area to thwart the movement of terrorists.

A joint search and strike operation is underway by security forces, police and CTD on information about the presence of terrorists in the Huved area of Bannu. Given the possible threats, a curfew has been imposed in the area until further notice, and all transportation routes connected to Huved have been completely closed.

According to the police spokesperson, citizens have been strictly instructed not to step out of their homes after 5:00 Am, and not to let any suspicious person come near them. Authorities have expressed fear that miscreants may try to use civilians as human shields.

If there is the presence of suspected terrorists in any house or place, or if they enter, they have been instructed to immediately move to a safe place and inform the relevant institutions. According to the spokesperson, strict legal action will be taken against those who shelter, help or cooperate with terrorists in any way.

Police officials have also made it clear that the house or building from which the security forces were fired upon will be demolished immediately, and those responsible will be severely punished as per the law.

A heavy contingent of security forces and police is deployed in the area, which is engaged in a coordinated operation against the terrorists. The spokesperson appealed to the citizens for their full cooperation and said that any suspicious activity should be reported immediately so that the area can be cleared of terrorism as soon as possible.
