BANNU: The district administration has imposed Section 144 across the district to ensure law and order during the upcoming anti-polio drive.
According to a notification issued by the office of Deputy Commissioner of Bannu, Muhammad Faheem Khan, the restrictions will remain in force from September 14 to September 21, 2025. During this period, a strict ban has been placed on the display of weapons, pillion riding on motorcycles, and the use of vehicles with tinted windows.
DC Muhammad Faheem Khan stated that these measures are especially aimed at ensuring peace and security during the anti-polio drive scheduled from September 15 to September 19.

The notification further warns that violations of Section 144 will result in legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Law enforcement agencies and other relevant departments have been instructed to take immediate action against violators.
