Security forces eliminate 11 terrorists in separate KP operations

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 11 suspected terrorists in four separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan districts, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan, where troops engaged a terrorist hideout, killing five militants. In a second operation in the same region, three more terrorists were neutralized.

Another encounter in Miran Shah, North Waziristan, resulted in the death of two terrorists, while a fourth operation in Daraban, Dera Ismail Khan, led to the killing of one militant.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were reportedly involved in multiple attacks against security forces and civilians.

“Sanitization operations are underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area,” the ISPR stated, reiterating the military’s resolve to eradicate terrorism from the country.
