Security forces eliminate India-backed terrorists in two-day operations near Afghan border in Zhob

Wanted terrorist among nine killed in Dera Ismail Khan operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed another 14 Indian-sponsored terrorists during a sanitisation operation in the surrounding areas of Sambaza along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on the night between August 8 and 9, following successful engagements by security forces in Sambaza, Zhob District, Balochistan, on August 7–8. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists. The number of Khawarij killed in two days has risen to forty-seven.

The security forces remain committed to securing the nation’s frontiers and thwarting attempts to sabotage Pakistan’s peace, stability, and progress, the military’s media wing said.

Earlier, 33 Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed while attempting to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Sambaza area of Zhob District, Balochistan. ISPR said own troops effectively engaged the infiltrators, recovering a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces for killing 33 Indian-sponsored Khawarij in the operation in Zhob, Balochistan. In a statement, he applauded the courage, skill, and timely action of the forces in defending the motherland. The President said the entire nation is proud of its brave forces and stands shoulder to shoulder with them to eliminate the menace of terrorism. He vowed that every attempt to infiltrate Pakistani soil will be met with a befitting response.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended tribute to the security forces for successfully thwarting and taking action against terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij who attempted to infiltrate Pakistan from the Pak-Afghan border in Zhob District. He commended the forces for killing 33 Khawarij terrorists during the operation, noting that the brave personnel risked their lives to foil the terrorists’ nefarious designs. He reaffirmed that the entire nation stands with the security forces.
