PESHAWAR: Law enforcement agencies have killed at least 158 terrorists in counter-terrorism operations and engagements in March Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Security forces say they carried out 73 operations in 15 districts of the province in March. As a result of these operations, 158 terrorists affiliated with different organisations were killed.
North Waziristan, sharing a border with Afghanistan, saw the highest number of killings, with 40 terrorists being eliminated.
Similarly, law enforcement agencies killed 25 terrorists in various operations in Dera Ismail Khan, the hometown of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The report says that 20 were killed in the Mohmand tribal district. The security forces eliminated 18 terrorists involved in attacks on government installations and personnel of law enforcement agencies each in Bannu and Mardan.

Similarly, security forces killed 13 terrorists in South Waziristan, seven in Lakki Marwat, six in Bajaur, four in Khyber, and two each in Karak and Tank district.
One terrorist was killed each in Charsadda, Swat, Hangu, and in the provincial capital Peshawar.
