BOLAN: Pakistani Security Forces successfully rescued over 80 passengers after terrorists attacked the Jaffer Express in Bolan, Balochistan, this morning, holding passengers hostage.
Security sources say that terrorists attacked the Jafar Express at Bolan Pass, Dhadar and targeted innocent civilians. The terrorists stopped the Jafar Express in a tunnel and took 400 passengers hostage.
According to security sources, despite being extremely difficult terrain and distant from the road, security forces surrounded the area and started a clearance operation.
Those rescued include 43 men, 26 women and 11 children, while security forces are working to safely get released the remaining passengers.
Security forces conducted a successful operation against the terrorists and rescued more than 80 passengers of the Jafar Express.
According to sources, the terrorists took some people as shields, security forces are chasing the terrorists. The terrorists had taken the passengers of the Jafar Express hostage.
Sources say that the terrorists have used women and children as shields, security forces have surrounded the terrorists, an exchange of fire with the terrorists is ongoing, and the operation is being carried out with the utmost caution due to the difficult terrain.

According to railway officials, the Jafar Express had left Quetta at 9 am today, which stopped at tunnel number eight. The terrorists attacked around 1:15 pm, the Jafar Express was going from Quetta to Peshawar.
Officials said that the Jaffar Express consists of 9 coaches, in which more than 430 passengers were on board.
Railway sources said that the terrorists opened heavy fire during the attack on the train, which spread panic. The train driver was killed in the terrorist firing.
According to railway sources, the Jaffar Express had a reservation for 235 passengers in economy class. There were 41 passengers in ACL and 24 passengers in ACB, while 6 passengers were on board the AC sleeper.
According to railway department spokesperson Shahid Rind, the Bolan Mail coming from Karachi to Quetta and the Jaffar Express coming from Peshawar to Quetta were also stopped at Sibi. Emergency was imposed at Sibi Hospital.
