DI KHAN – A joint security operation in Tank district’s border area successfully rescued kidnapped government officials, but tragically claimed one life. District Account Officer Naveed Zafar suffered a fatal heart attack during his captivity.
The operation, conducted near Kalachi tehsil, recovered three hostages: Zafar, Deputy Health Officer Attaullah, and clerk Inayatullah – all abducted earlier today while traveling to work on Tank Road. Security forces eliminated one kidnapper during the rescue.
Police confirmed the victims were government employees enroute to Tank district from DI Khan when armed terrorists intercepted their vehicle. Zafar’s body along with the surviving hostages have been transported to DI Khan. Authorities continue investigations into the kidnapping incident.
