QUETTA: Security forces repelled a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in Balochistan on Thursday, killing at least 14 militants in multiple clashes, officials said.
The attacks occurred in Turbat, along the Coastal Highway, near Kachlak, on the Sibi-Quetta Road, and close to Lak Pass on the Quetta-Taftan Highway. Authorities said the militants attempted suicide bombings, road blockades, and targeted attacks on civilians but were thwarted by security forces.

In Turbat, five terrorists were killed after they launched a failed assault involving two suicide bombers. Three more militants were gunned down along the Coastal Highway, while two others were killed while attempting to block a road in Kachlak.
Separately, security forces foiled an attack on buses traveling along the Sibi-Quetta Road, killing two assailants. Another two militants were shot dead near Lak Pass after they tried to target civilians, officials said.
“All cowardly attacks were foiled due to timely and effective action by security forces,” a military statement said. A clearance operation is underway to eliminate any remaining threats.
