BAJAUR ; Local officials in Bajaur district finalized arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr during a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan on Monday.
The session, attended by district police, administration officers, and representatives from Rescue 1122 and municipal services, focused on security, traffic management, and emergency preparedness for the holiday.

Authorities ordered enhanced security at Eidgahs, mosques, and markets, along with strict monitoring of transport fares to prevent overcharging. Medical staff at District Headquarters Hospital Khar and other regional facilities were directed to ensure round-the-clock availability of staff and medicines.
Deputy Commissioner Khan also imposed Section 144 until April 22, banning aerial firing, weapon displays, and the sale of firecrackers and toy guns. Violators will face legal action, officials warned.
Administrative and police personnel will remain on duty during Eid to ensure public safety and service delivery.
