In preparation for the 2025 Senate elections, the Provincial Election Commissioner and a delegation met with Babar Saleem Swati, the Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, in his chamber.
During the meeting, they discussed matters concerning the electoral code of conduct, administrative arrangements, and ensuring a transparent electoral process. The Leader of the Opposition in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Dr. Ibadullah, also attended, along with other staff from the Assembly Secretariat.
The Election Commission delegation requested full cooperation from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly for the Senate elections. They emphasised the necessity of conducting the electoral process peacefully, in accordance with the constitution, law, and established code of conduct.
The Speaker assured the delegation that the Assembly would provide its full support to the Election Commission and create a fair, transparent, and respectful environment for the Senate elections. He stated that the electoral process would be conducted peacefully and effectively, upholding the democratic traditions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
