The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and newly elected Senator Mashal Yousafzai, while talking to the media after the Senate elections, said that her victory is actually a victory for Imran Khan’s ideology; she has no place in her capacity, rather she has become a part of the Upper House today due to the trust and vision of her leader.

She was addressing a news conference in Peshawar after being elected as a senator. Ms Yousafzai has claimed that she had been elected as the youngest senator in the history of Pakistan, and this honour is no less than a reward for her.
She said that Imran Khan had created new history by choosing an ordinary worker for this position.
She said that she has not met Imran Khan and his wife for the last five months. When the leader’s message reached her from Adiala Jail, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur immediately contacted her, assured her of support and supported her fully until the end. The Chief Minister not only supported me personally but also persuaded all the MPAs in her favour.
Mashal Yousafzai clarified that MPAs did not vote for her on a personal basis, but based on Imran Khan’s ideology.
He said that Mashal Yousafzai had no personal political identity; this victory was the result of an ideology that neither money nor power could withstand.
He thanked the party leadership, provincial president Junaid Akbar, all organisational structures, his polling agents, proposers, seconds and party workers.
He said that the unity shown by the four regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the elected MPAs, and the organisational structure is proof of the internal strength of the PTI.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is a major party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has been ruling the province for the last three tenures.
