UPPER ORAKZAI: A senior government officer narrowly survived a life assassination attempt when a roadside bomb blast hit his vehicle in Upper Orakzai on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Saifal Darra area of Upper Orakzai.
According to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Upper Orakzai Irfanuddin, unknown terrorists targeted the vehicle of Deputy Tehsildar Shaukat with an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Saifal Darra area of Upper Orakzai.
However, Deputy Tehsildar Shaukat and his security guard remained unharmed in the explosion, but the vehicle was partially damaged in the explosion.

After the attack, personnel of the law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
Explosive device explosion in Malakand
On the other hand, an explosive device installed near the wall of the DC office on Batkhela Canal Road in Malakand exploded. However, no casualties were reported in the attack.
Levies sources said that the explosives were planted near the wall of the DPO office. The explosion partially damaged the Levies vehicle, which was passing near the wall.
