ISLAMABAD: Adverse weather has severely disrupted air operations across the country, resulting in the cancellation of eight flights and delays to 63 others.
At Sialkot Airport, flight operations were heavily affected. Pakistan International Airlines’ Abu Dhabi–Sialkot flight PK-178 was diverted to Karachi, while Flydubai flight FZ-337 was redirected to Islamabad. Flydubai’s Sialkot–Dubai flight FZ-338 was delayed for 17 hours, while flights FZ-782 and FZ-783 faced delays of five and a half hours each. The departure of PK-179 was also delayed by two hours.
At Islamabad Airport, widespread disruptions were reported, with nine Karachi flights delayed between one and seven hours. In total, 14 arrivals and departures were delayed, with waiting times ranging from one to 15 hours. Islamabad–Abu Dhabi flight PA-230 was delayed by nine hours, while Islamabad–Dubai flight PA-210 was delayed by 15 hours.
Flights to several other destinations also faced long delays, including four to Peshawar, two to Skardu, three to Multan, and nine to Karachi. At Lahore Airport, 11 flights were delayed between one and six hours, while seven Karachi–Lahore flights were held up for one to four hours.
