Shahab Ali Shah appointed new KP chief secretary

K-P Chief Secretary Chairs High-Level Meeting to Launch E-PADS for Transparent Procurement

ISLAMABAD: Shahab Ali Shah has been appointed as the chief secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), replacing Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, who is currently posted under the government of Balochistan, a notification issued by the Establishment Division, Islamabad on Thursday.

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had asked the federal government a few months ago to appoint Shahab Ali Shah a BS-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) as the province’s new chief secretary.

Shahab Ali Shah had served as the additional chief secretary planning and development department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the previous government of the ruling party.

Last year, in a written request, the KP chief minister, Ali Amin Gandapur had desired for the posting of Shahab Ali Shah as the chief secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and withdrawn the services of the incumbent chief secretary, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry.

Mr Shahab Ali Shah, BS-21, officer of the Pakistan administrative service, PAS has been appointed as the new chief secretary to the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under section 10 of the civil servants act, 1973, who would assume his office in coming days.
