SHANGLA: The district administration of Shangla on Wednesday imposed a ban on bathing in the rivers and streams across the district after recent drowning incidents occurred in the Bisham areas.
The Deputy Commissioner, Shangla, Mohammad Fawad Khan, issued a notification in this regard, stating that after the recent drowning incident, a ban under section 144 has been imposed on bathing and visiting river banks across the district.
The notification said that anyone who violated the ban would be dealt with according to the law.
The move came after two sisters drowned on Tuesday in the Butyal Bisham area, while two cousins had drowned before this last week in the Maira area of the same tehsil.
