PESHAWAR: Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, chief of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), has stated that overthrowing the current Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is not in the province’s best interest. However, he strongly criticized the politics of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, saying the situation in KP has deteriorated under his leadership like never before.
Speaking on the Pashtun Digital Podcast, Sherpao claimed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wants KP’s Chief Minister position. He also commented on Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s recent statements, suggesting that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader wants a forward bloc within the PTI to form a new government with opposition support.
Sherpao further criticized the PTI’s governance, stating that despite coming to power three times in KP, the party has failed to deliver significant performance.
