SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: (NOOR WALI WAZIR): Student of Government High School Wana has appealed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and Ali Ameen Gandapur to release funds for the boundary wall of the schools hostel, which badly affected due to recent earthquake in tribal areas of district South Waziristan.
A few days ago, the earthquake caused the collapse of the 190-foot-long boundary wall of Government High School Wana Hostel, causing severe problems for students and teachers living in the school hostel. The students told media representatives that after the collapse of the boundary wall, they are confined to their rooms because they are facing security issues due to the lack of a protective wall.
They demanded that the government immediately start the repair work of the boundary wall so that their long-standing problem can be solved. On this occasion, the school principal Ghulam Hussain Wazir said that the District Education Department and the district administration were informed about the incident on the day of the earthquake.
According to the principal, the collapse of the boundary wall has not only caused difficulties for both students and teachers in their educational activities, but has also created serious problems regarding their safety.
He strongly appealed to the Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and district administration to immediately start the reconstruction of the Hostel boundary wall so that the students can be provided with a safe and better educational environment.
It may be recalled that the 6.2 magnitude earthquake recorded in Afghanistan border region Kunar which is adjacent to tribal belt of Pakistan. The earthquake shake the entire area and developed cracks in houses and school buildings.
