PESHAWAR: A vibrant summer camp, organised by the Pakistan Army under the guidance of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), is underway in Peshawar, offering students from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the opportunity to participate in a variety of physical and recreational activities.
Beginning on June 23, the camp has attracted students from multiple cities, including Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, and Badhaber. Participants from various schools and colleges are actively engaged in a series of challenging activities that promote both physical endurance and mental focus.
The camp features a diverse range of activities such as archery, badminton, tug of war, air rifle shooting, and live firing drills. During the Sports and Firing Gala segment, students exhibited exceptional energy and skill, earning appreciation from organizers and onlookers alike.
At the closing event, students who performed exceptionally well were awarded medals and prizes by the chief guest. Teachers and attendees commended the camp as a positive and impactful initiative that contributes to the holistic growth of young participants.
Several students expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army and ISPR. A student named Arooj said, “We’re truly thankful to the Army and ISPR for arranging such a meaningful event. It was an unforgettable experience.”
Another student, Hiba, shared how the camp brought her closer to her dream of joining the armed forces. “This camp felt like the first step toward realising my ambition of serving in the Pakistan Army,” she said.
Sayed Moeen Shah reflected on how the activities boosted his confidence and spirit. Meanwhile, participant Muhammad Abu Bakar added, “I’ve learned so much during this camp. These experiences will stay with me forever.”
The initiative is being widely appreciated by students, teachers, and families alike, as it offers youth a constructive environment to build character, discipline, and patriotism during their summer break.
