ISLAMABAD: Following the government’s decision to increase the sales tax from 12.5% to 18% and impose a new NEV (New Enhanced Value) levy in the federal budget, Pak Suzuki Motor Company has announced massive price hikes on its vehicles, effective July 1, 2025.

The company stated that the new tax measures have raised production and sales costs, forcing them to pass the burden onto consumers. The price surge will particularly impact middle and lower-income buyers who rely on affordable models like the Alto, Cultus, and Swift.

New Prices After Increase:

  • Alto VXR: Increased by Rs. 167,861 (New price: Rs. 2,994,861)

  • Alto VXR AGS: Increased by Rs. 177,480 (New price: Rs. 3,166,480)

  • Cultus VXR: Increased by Rs. 40,490 (New price: Rs. 4,089,490)

  • Swift GL MT: Increased by Rs. 44,160 (New price: Rs. 4,460,160)

  • Swift GLX CVT: Increased by Rs. 47,190 (New price: Rs. 4,766,190)

The move is expected to further strain car buyers already struggling with inflation, making entry-level vehicles even less affordable.
